Heading to the Space Coast? Kennedy Space Center Remains Open during Government Shutdown 2025. On October 1st, 2025, at midnight EST, the Federal Government went into a shutdown, and people heading out on vacation are asking a lot of questions. Will plans be affected? Will travel be an issue? What remains open?

In Orlando and the surrounding areas, the theme parks are all privately owned, and there will be no changes. One big question was about the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, and now we know officially it will remain open!

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex remains open for visitors during the government shutdown. Special interest tours and the KSC Bus Tours will remain fully operational.

Admission includes Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex, Heroes & Legends featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame®, Space Shuttle Atlantis®, Journey to Mars, space films in the IMAX theater, the Rocket Garden, Planet Play, The Gantry at LC-39, the Apollo/Saturn V Center, and more.

The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is operated by Delaware North on behalf of NASA and is not supported by government or taxpayer funding. Updates will also be posted to the website, www.KennedySpaceCenter.com, and on Facebook and X @ExploreSpaceKSC.
