
The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato Will Return in ‘Camp Rock 3’ on the Disney Channel.
The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato are officially back. Disney Branded Television announced today that a new sequel, Camp Rock 3, has been greenlit for Disney+ and the Disney Channel. The highly anticipated Disney Channel Original Movie will see the return of Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas to their iconic roles, with Lovato and the Jonas Brothers also serving as executive producers.
Filming for the movie began this week in Vancouver. Recently, Disney Channel stars Demi Lovato, and the Jonas Brothers did an impromptu rendition of the Camp Rock hit “This is Me“. The song, featuring Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas, was first released in 2008 on the Disney Channel
The plot picks up as the band Connect 3, played by the Jonas Brothers, loses their opening act for a major reunion tour. They return to Camp Rock to discover the next big star. The competition to open for their favorite band tests friendships and leads to unexpected alliances and revelations among a new group of campers.
A new cast of rising stars joins the franchise:
- Liamani Segura as Sage
- Malachi Barton as Fletch
- Lumi Pollack as Rosie
- Hudson Stone as Desi
- Casey Trotter as Cliff
- Brooklynn Pitts as Callie
- Ava Jean as Madison
Maria Canals-Barrera will also reprise her role as Connie, while Sherry Cola joins the cast as Lark.
“Bringing it back with Kevin, Joe, Nick, and Demi is such a full-circle moment, and we can’t wait to reintroduce this world to a new generation,” said Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television.
The original Camp Rock (2008) and its sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010), were among the most-watched Disney Channel Original Movies of all time and launched the careers of their stars. The franchise continues to influence pop culture and social media more than 15 years after its debut.
The movie is directed by Veronica Rodriguez and written by Eydie Faye, with choreography by Jamal Sims. In addition to Lovato and the Jonas Brothers, the film’s executive producers include Tim Federle, Betsy Sullenger, Spencer Berman, and Gary Marsh.
