D23 Spooktacular Spotlight Event Will Go “Villainous” at Walt Disney World. D23 has announced a second Gold Member event taking place here at Walt Disney World. Yesterday, they announced a TRON Movie Marathon, where guests can enjoy all three TRON movies, including the brand new TRON: Ares movie before the public, and receive a TRON popcorn bucket. Today, D23 is going to the Villains with the D23 Spooktacular Spotlight Series, which will feature an exclusive showing of Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After at Hollywood Studios.
The Official Disney Fan Club has announced a new event for Gold Members, “D23’s Spooktacular Spotlight,” coming to Orlando, Florida, on October 12, 2025. The event will give Disney fans a chance to celebrate the Halloween season with an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the creative process behind some of Disney’s most iconic attractions.
D23’s Spooktacular Spotlight Series:
Tickets for the event, priced at $67 per ticket plus a $3 processing fee, will go on sale for D23 Gold Members on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET.
The day will kick off with a special, pre-park-opening screening of Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Following the exclusive showing, guests will be transported to AMC Disney Springs for a unique panel discussion with Walt Disney Imagineering. The Imagineers will offer an inside look into “Illusioneering” and the magic that brings attractions like the Haunted Mansion to life.
In addition to the screening and panel, attendees will receive a popcorn and drink voucher, a limited-release D23 Halloween pin, and an event credential.
The event is part of the new D23 Spotlight Series, which aims to take fans deeper into unique topics across The Walt Disney Company. Other events in the series have included a celebration of the Walt Disney Archives’ 55th anniversary and a look at the history and future of Indiana Jones attractions at Disney Parks.
Important details for attendees:
- Transportation: The event requires guests to board buses from Disney Springs’ West Side Bus Loop to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and back.
- Park Admission: The ticket price does not include general admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The only access to the park is for the exclusive Disney Villains screening before the park opens to the public.
- Late Entry: Due to the scheduled transportation, late entry to the event will not be accommodated.
- Food and Drink: No food options will be available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios during the pre-park-opening screening. Attendees are encouraged to eat before the event.
