Disney Channel’s Beloved Tom Morrow is Back as 2.0.
The return of Disney’s favorite robot, Tom Morrow
Tom Morrow 2.0 is back, and he’s ready to show fans how Disney dreams become a reality. The beloved animatronic host of the early 2000s Disney Channel series “Imagineer That!” is returning to host a reboot of the show.
Who is Tom Morrow?
Tom Morrow debuted at Epcot’s Innoventions attraction, where he was known for his educational content and puns. He later hosted “Imagineer That!,” a segment that explored the science and storytelling behind Disney attractions, fireworks, and more. Morrow’s last appearance at Innoventions was in 2007, and he isn’t as rusty as we thought.
For the past 18 years, the robot has been in “retirement” at Walt Disney Imagineering in Glendale, California. He spent his time “recharging, running diagnostics, and occasionally eavesdropping on Imagineers,” he joked in a blog post.
What’s new with Tom Morrow 2.0: A team of Imagineers has “rebooted the ol’ circuits” to bring Tom Morrow back at Tom Morrow 2.0. The team updated his design, motion programming, and even refurbished his iconic car and workspace. Tom Morrow says he’s been “caught up on what’s trending and what all the kids are saying these days.”

What is Tom Morrow Robot up to? The new “Imagineer That!” will feature Morrow interviewing the creative minds behind Disney Experiences. Morrow promises to ask questions fans have, and some they didn’t even know they had. The first episode is live now, with the next episode set to premiere on September 15.
So what’s the big picture? With new projects in development around the world, there’s more demand than ever for a look behind the curtain. Morrow’s return is a nostalgic way for Disney to answer those questions and bring fans along on the Imagineering journey.
