Muppets Officially Acknowledge Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Retheme, Thanks to Fozzie Bear. Today is National Roller Coaster Day, and Disney Parks, along with The Muppets’ favorite jokester, Fozzie Bear, have officially acknowledged the retheme of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith to a new Muppets themed version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.

Fozzie Bear appeared in a video filmed at the entrance of the attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Standing directly under the iconic upside-down ride vehicle, he delivered his classic “Wocka Wocka!” before launching into a series of terrible roller coaster-themed jokes.

The video is the first official word from anyone outside of Disney Parks confirming the change. For fans, hearing the news directly from Fozzie Bear himself makes the retheme feel more real. The new attraction is expected to be Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.

Fozzie opened the video with a line that left no room for doubt: “Hiya hiya hiya, folks. Fozzie Bear, here outside of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, Future Home of The Muppets at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.”

While Disney has only released a poster showing what the retheme is possibly going to look like when it opens, there has not been much information coming out. Disney Parks previously released this press release:

Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and more of their friends will be moving right along to Sunset Boulevard! The Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, teaming up with some of music’s biggest stars for a rockin’ music festival! We know so many of you share our love for The Muppets and know their energy will be a perfect fit for this coaster. Plus, as the first Disney ride ever to feature The Muppets, there’s sure to be laughter, screams, and new tunes for this attraction for fans to enjoy throughout the adventure, and plenty of Muppets-themed merchandise on Sunset Boulevard!

No word on when Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will close permanently. The Muppets are celebrating their 70th Anniversary, and you can see the new The Muppets Skyliner gondola wrap and collect the Disney Parks X The Muppets Magnets.
