Tom ❤️ Becky Wall Removed from Disney World. Tom Sawyer Island, the Liberty Belle Riverboat, and all of Rivers of America are now closed and being replaced with a new Cars-themed Land called Piston Peak National Park. Before the building phase can begin on Piston Peak, the older attractions have to be removed. Before the deconstruction starts, Disney World is trying to save some of the history of Tom Sawyer Island by archiving some of the props that were on display.
One of the more visible props was the Huck, Tom hearts Becky, half white-washed, painted wall that guests could see from Frontierland in the Magic Kingdom. The wall was located on the porch/dock of Aunt Polly’s quick-service eatery. The wooden slat wall was a call back to the Tom Sawyer book. In Mark Twain’s “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer,” Tom is tasked by his Aunt Polly to whitewash a fence as a punishment. Rather than do the work himself, Tom cleverly manipulates his friends into doing it for him by making the chore seem appealing and exclusive.
The wall, along with many other items like lamps, signs, and animatronics, is going to be archived. No word on if we will ever see them on display again, but how cool would it be to walk into the new Piston Peak National Park Cars Land and see Tom ❤️ Becky Wall up high in a store as a call back to the history of the Magic Kingdom.

More walls have been placed along the Rivers of America. Walls have been erected from the Haunted Mansion to the Liberty Square Riverboat landing. Walls also line the riverfront from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to the bridge at the drop to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
