Disney Cruise Line is doubling down on fan-favorite themed cruises, bringing superheroes to Texas for the first time. See below for full details of Marvel Day at Sea and Pixar at Sea.
Why it matters: Disney Cruise Line is looking to further boost its appeal by expanding its popular Marvel and Pixar-themed voyages, tapping into powerful entertainment franchises to draw families and enthusiasts.
What’s new:
- Marvel Day at Sea is setting sail from Galveston, Texas, for the first time in January 2026 on select four- and five-night Disney Magic voyages. Expect character meet-and-greets (think Spider-Man, Captain America, and more), themed dining, merchandise, and a deck-wide battle spectacular.
- Pixar Day at Sea returns to the Disney Fantasy out of Port Canaveral, Florida, also starting in January 2026. Select five-night sailings will immerse guests in the worlds of “Toy Story,” “Monsters, Inc.,” “The Incredibles,” “Inside Out,” and “Coco” with character encounters, themed meals like the “Hey Howdy Breakfast,” and a Pixar-themed deck party.
Key highlights:
- Marvel Mania: Guests on Marvel Day at Sea cruises can experience a Captain America USO show, Wakandan warrior training with Okoye, superhero-themed youth activities, and even see Mickey and friends in Marvel costumes. The night culminates in “Marvel Heroes Unite,” a deck show featuring stunts, special effects, and fireworks.
- Pixar Fun: Pixar Day at Sea will feature a “Crush’s Totally Awesome Pool Party,” an Edna Mode-hosted style parade (no capes!), a “Ratatouille” cooking demonstration, and a high-energy Pixar Pals Celebration deck party.
