Disney’s Magic Kingdom Transforms From Halloween to Christmas Holidays Overnight. Is there anything more magical than coming to Walt Disney World during the holiday seasons, heading into the Magic Kingdom, and seeing the transformation from Halloween to Christmas in under 6 hours? I mean, of course, there is. Snope could be falling, Santa and Mrs. Claus could be on the back float of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade, the lights could be gleaming and twinkling, and that magical holiday feeling could be in the air.
Whichever way you think of the Magic Kingdom and being magical during the holidays, we find the changeover from the last Halloween Party of the year which ends at midnight on October 31st, last night, to the next morning walking into the park at 8:30 AM on November 1st, 2024, and seeing Holiday and Christmas decorations up already.
This morning we got to see the holiday decorations up, mostly. We say mostly because Town Square and Main Street USA have holiday swag up, and the light poles have the wreaths, and the enormous Christmas Tree and the citizens of Town Square are still missing. Which is okay, because we just enjoyed what was already in place.
Updated 11/3 – The massive Disney Christmas tree, along with the candle wreaths are now fully installed and look great.
We have to give full credit to Walt Disney Imagineering, and all the Cast Members who do the work overnight to get the Magic Kingdom ready for opening. The transformation is amazing. We put together a gallery of images for you to check out. Disney Parks will normally make a video about the overnight change and when they do we will be sure to share the video here.
